We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Chief Accountant to join our Finance team and lead the accounting operations within a dynamic business environment.

Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations and transactions
- • Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes
- • Review provisions, accruals, prepayments, and complex accounting entries
- • Monitor reconciliations of transitory and suspense accounts
- • Ensure accurate maintenance of suppliers, chart of accounts, and cost centers
- • Control goods-in-transit accounting and period-end reporting accuracy
- • Prepare and review financial statements, including Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow
- • Ensure compliance with IFRS, group policies, and local Iraqi regulations
- • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- • Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency
- • Coordinate and support internal and external audit requirements
- • Strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures, and governance standards
- • Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team
Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- • Strong knowledge of IFRS and Iraqi tax/regulatory requirements
- • Extensive experience with Iraqi banking operations
- • Experience using ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
- • Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills
- • Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
